I’m a portuguese UX Designer with 13 years of experience and a masters degree in Human Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
Most of my work has been done while working as part of the Experience Design team at Novabase a portuguese IT Company, I have taken different responsibilities in the design team: UX Research, Design Thinking, UX Design, Prototype, Test, Visual Design and Design Team Leading. I feel extremely comfortable dealing with teams with different backgrounds. I’ve also worked in projects not only in Portugal, but also abroad (UK and Angola).
At Novabase I have been actively involved in coaching the new designers that join the team, and have more recently taken team management responsibilities.
In 2021 I had the chance to take a few UX leadership courses from NNgroup.
I have worked with companies from a wide range of industries: energy, transportation, education, government, banking, financial regulators, insurance, telecom providers, among others.
My life motto is "try to leave this world better than you found it" (Robert Baden-Powell). Once a scout, always a scout.
